The Professional Squash Association has begun the process to appoint
a new Chief Executive following the announcement of the retirement
of Gawain Briars earlier this month.
The PSA, which is responsible for the organisation, development and
marketing of the Men’s Professional World Squash Circuit, promises
"an exciting international opportunity in Men's Professional Squash"
and a "competitive reward package".
Among the PSA's objectives are to raise the profile of Men’s
Professional Squash internationally; Create and manage a PSA World
Tour that is rewarding for spectators and players; Develop, schedule
and sanction Men’s Professional world ranking tournaments; Issue
Men’s Professional World Rankings; and promote the PSA World Tour
through all marketing channels, particularly the electronic media.
The successful applicant will have strong communication and people
skills; a consultative style of working; a proven practical
background in management with a strong emphasis on marketing; sound
financial experience; and a proven ability in the development and
implementation of sound business strategy.
The appointment will be based in the UK, in a location that allows
regular contact with the PSA's headquarters in Cardiff, Wales.
